The County Chamber is dedicated to protecting and promoting the local business community. Our primary goal is to help business Owners network and grow.
We offer educational programming, seminars and employee training for our members to educate and keep their employees motivated as well as up to date on a variety of business topics.
The County Chamber offers the only Lorain County based Safety Council, which provides not only a discount on Workers’ Compensation costs, but a forum for keeping your employees healthy and working.
Access to your elected officials via State of the City luncheons, Meet and Greets as well as acting as an advocate for business with our local township officials, mayors, city managers and representatives from State and Federal offices. Our County Chamber is diligently working with the RNC2016 officials to make sure dollars are spent in and at Lorain County business next year.
We host the largest Business to Business EXPO held in Lorain County. It has grown each year and is a must attend event held each November.
Our Chamber still produces a printed Membership Directory and Resource Guide that is distributed to over 1600 members and non-members. Being listed in this directory will get your name and contact information in front of new members, residents and businesses in Lorain County all year long.
The Lorain County Chamber works with our local educational partners to make sure our emerging workforce is prepared upon graduation of high school and/or college. We host an annual New Teacher’s luncheon to welcome all of the new hires to Lorain County’s 14 school districts plus LCJVS. We also host an annual State of the County Schools Superintendent Summit luncheon so that our superintendents can speak directly with the business community.
We have nearly 600 members making our membership the largest Chamber on the west side of Cleveland. Our email list is available to our members and contains over 1200 email addresses.
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available via our weekly email known as Five For Friday, on our updated website, via our monthly events calendar and at sponsored events. Over 175 businesses took advantage of the sponsorship opportunities last year.
We offer networking at morning events, luncheons as well as after hours to fit your schedule. We offered 62 events and had over 5000 participants this past year alone.
Our networking takes place all over the County and brings you into local businesses that have been here for decades or have just opened up.
Ribbon cuttings for new members or for grand re-openings or expansions are available to all members.
We work and collaborate with our other economic development and community organizations to tackle tough subjects like transportation, workforce development and job loss.
Discounts are available on a variety of business needs including workers compensation via our group plan, health insurance, business supplies, logistics and shipping and gas/electric energy costs.
We promote Lorain County via our partnership in Pulse Magazine and the yearly Best of Lorain County awards given out each July.
We host social events and help to promote our local organizations that provide them: Jet Express, Lake Erie Crushers, Canopy Tours/Zip Line, Rocking on the River, Fire Fish just to name a few.
Partnering with other membership organizations to help magnify your opportunities to network and get more business. We do this via our collaboration with other Chambers of Commerce in Northeast Ohio, as well as with organizations like the Builders, Realtors and Landlord groups.
Access to Sneak Peeks and the ability to get to see some of the newest businesses in and around Lorain County. As our County continues to grow, so will these opportunities.
Promotion of our local businesses via our relationships with our local newspapers, radio stations and digital as well as traditional publications. We are always taking photos and sharing them via social media to promote our local economy.
Working with our members to get them involved in different committees in the County Chamber as well as in other organizations to the benefit of all of Lorain Countians.
