• Business must be at least 51% Veteran-owned.

The Anthony Gallo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Membership Grant

The Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Lorain County Veterans Service Commission, is excited to announce the launch of the Anthony Gallo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Membership Grant, designed to support the growth and development of local veteran-owned businesses in the region. (A veteran owned business must be a minimum of 51% owned by a former service member.) This new initiative aims to empower veteran-owned businesses by providing valuable resources and networking opportunities through Chamber membership.

The Anthony Gallo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Membership Grant is specifically tailored for businesses located in Lorain County who are not current Chamber members, have been operating for less than five years, and employ 10 or fewer employees. Recognizing the challenges faced by emerging businesses, the Chamber will award scholarships up to 30 businesses each calendar year. Each scholarship will cover the cost of a one-year Membership with the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. (Membership is based on a rolling calendar, so a member who joins in February has until February the following year, and September to September). Membership includes access to networking events, educational workshops, and marketing opportunities, all designed to enhance business visibility and community engagement. (Some events may have a luncheon cost or additional cost to participate.)

Eligible businesses are encouraged to apply for the scholarship by visiting www.LorainCountyChamber.com and click on the Anthony Gallo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Membership Grant logo. The application requires details about the business operations and will be used to promote the business online and in our annual membership directory. Applications will be reviewed by the Chamber and Lorain County Veterans Service Commission as they are received.

The Anthony Gallo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Membership Grant is named after the current Lorain County Chamber of Commerce’s president, Anthony Gallo’s uncle and namesake, who was killed in action in WWII. Anthony J. Gallo, PFC 32 INF – WWII KIA – May 23, 1945, at the age of 24.
